The blog was quiet this weekend, but I wasn't. I went to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park for a photography weekend. The workshop was led by Paul Johnson (photographer and naturalist) and Ernie Cowan (www.packtrain.com)
The desert was beautiful and these two photos were taken my first night in the park. What a welcome!
It was a jam-packed weekend with lots of photo opportunities in the park. More photos to follow in the next few days as I process all the photos I took.
Carrying on from last year's blog, I will be posting photos (some new, some old) almost daily.

iPhone photo
I keep forgetting to use the iPhone camera. Took this while on a walk, then used two apps -- one to age it & another to add the film strip.

Flamingo sighting
I was back at the San Diego Zoo again yesterday -- I'm officially now a Volunteer-in-Training. Before the orientation last night, I spent some time in the Zoo at one of my favorite places: the flamingo area. This youngster was napping, and occasionally opened an eye to look around. I love the colors on his body. I also think I'll have to use this photo for the Alphabet Class I'm taking -- do you see the "S" -- it's pretty clear to me. I must admit, though, I'm seeing alphabet letters all the time -- and not everyone else does ;-) Am I becoming too focused on the alphabet?

"I" week
Happy March 1st. This week is "I" week in my alphabet class. These are straight out of the camera, minimal Photoshop work done (sizing, some levels applied).
